KPMG Closes Aussie Legal Practice, Seeks Partnerships with Law Firms

KPMG shuts down standalone legal practice in Australia

KPMG, the multinational professional services network, has announced that it will be shutting down its standalone legal practice in Australia. However, the firm will continue to maintain its legal practices in 80 jurisdictions worldwide where it operates.

In lieu of its internal legal practice, KPMG will seek to form alliances with law firms in Australia to provide services to its clients. The decision will not have any impact on its legal practices in other parts of the world.
